Section A of today's newspaper was dedicated to the Dumbledores. Autopsy says The Killing Curse was the only curse administered on her, along with an hour-long Stupefy, which means that my brother and sister-in-law didn't get as close to the action as they would have hoped. They must be devastated. I formatted it, since no one trusts me with a quill around it, something about Alyson and Professor Dumbledore being friends. Which is still more than I can say for Rita Skeeter, who went on a hinkypunk chase for information on safe transportation.

Meanwhile, Rita's trying to get her office back. It's not happening. From what I've heard, deportment to Australia is a few degrees worse than a month-long suspension. Not to mention that my decorating tastes are significantly more sophisticated than hers, and everyone else on staff prefers my blank walls and desk full of letters to whatever neon colors and quick quills she plasters around.

Just sent out another letter to Barty. You can guess how much fun that was.

Annika called my column a "hit" the other day, which is rather appropriate, seeing how many times I've been hit by various pieces of "fan" mail since I started writing it. I made my wife open them when they first came in, until she came across the one with Buboter Puss that's left her hands in bandages. Since her hands are all tied up, she can't very well open anymore, so now I get to. I could always throw them away, but there's not nearly as much fun in that.

Greta's been burning my dinner and refuses to be seen in public with me for the last two weeks-- we went out to the Leaky Cauldron one night, and our waitress kept spitting in our food. My wife pretty much lost it when we got a fly in our drink and we had to leave, but she still maintains that it's my fault they have awful service. On the same topic, I wasn't aware of how many witches carried around purses until I started getting smacked by them. Do women typically do that in England?

In other news, Isabel hasn't been rescued, yet. I hate to imagine what she'll do to Barty once they're under the same roof again.

I wonder what's been going on in the DoMLE, lately. We're due for another Crouch article for The Daily Prophet.

I'm getting caught up on the British news, which is rather interesting. The Free Spirit Press has confirmed what Peasgood said; the Death Eaters are killing coffee girls, and Tess Giordano, of all people. I knew her from Hogwarts-- she excelled at Exploding Snap and was abysmal at chess and Quidditch. I'm sorry to hear of her passing.

    [Private: Death Eaters]

What possessed you to kill a coffee girl? Whichever one of you did it... it's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all month. Was she even Muggleborn?

In other news, I now have a job.

They want me to consider being an advice columnist. The trouble with columnists is that their readers grow to love them and they're stuck writing the same column for their entire lives. It'll be better than fetching coffee and I might be able to do some freelance work on the side, so I think I'll take it.
